An observation, mapping, and encoding of local retail spaces

Supermarket Maps began with the mapping the Key Food market in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. I first visited the market and mapped it by hand. I translated and encoded these observations in the image displayed and defined below. The maps within this growing collection will together form an abstracted representation of my interaction with public commercial space in my environment.
